I went to the local Community College, which has a pond, to look for feathers. The ducks, geese and sea gulls are accustomed to being fed and they began to gather as soon as I'd parked the car. A bit unnerving actually, them all standing there staring at me. They followed me for a while which made me feel like St. Francis or something.
These aren't genuine quill pens but ball point inserts pushed into the hollow parts of feathers. They look nice in my raku fired cup along
with a metal nib feather pen and some rich blue ink, and a pretty journal.
